2 April - Club Run to Kent Countryside

It's first of the month again, and Sean Kerrigan has a real blinder planned for us for our monthly Club Run.

Tired of flat Essex roads? Bored of Navestock, Ongar and Chipping Sodbury? Well, try out the Garden of England for size.

The March Club Run will take us to the Kent countryside, for a 36 mile ride around some of the most beautiful vistas South of the River. And some hills.

Meet 9am at Walthamstow Town Hall, for cars and vans to the start (10am) close to Cobham.

The start is Nell's Cafe on the A2, near Gravesend, a popular and hearty stop for cyclists. The aim is to return to the same place about three hours later.

14 April - Good Friday Club Run and Herne Hill Visit

Good Friday sees the annual Southern Counties Cycling Union track meeting at the Herne Hill Stadium.

There’s no clash with other major track races this year: Bradley Wiggins (left) is booked to appear and the promoters have hinted that there may be more top names.

The racing starts at 11.00 am, with initial heats and the main events will start at 1.00pm, John Summerhayes will be especially pleased to learn that there will be paced racing again this year. There’s also a cycle jumble.

Sound great?

We think so! So this Good Friday's Club Run (14th April) is going to be down to Herne Hill to watch the racing. Meet at Town Hall, as usual, at 9.30am. It should take over an hour to get there. Bring a picnic and you can happily spend the afternoon watching the racing.

For more information on the Good Friday meet click here and watch this space for more details nearer the time.

5 March - Club Run

The monthly LVCC Club Run will take place from our Race HQ in Essex, this Sunday.

The idea is to watch 1 or 2 laps of the Crest Road Race, taking place close by, and then do a 30/40 mile club run.

The Club is heading off (in cars) from Walthamstow Town Hall at 8:30am, with a view to starting the Club Run by 9:30 .

Of course the club run is dependent on the weather. Please check on Saturday afternoon, if the weather is looking bad, on the Organise a Ride forum for any change of plan.
