London to Southend - 20th July 2008




This charity ride is run by the British Heart Foundation, like the annual London-Brighton ride. Here are the details:-

Start Times: 07.30 - 09.15

Getting There (Car): Victoria Park is next to the A102(M).

Getting There (Train):-
Special trains run from Southend Victoria to get you to the start. You'll need to book this in advance - please see the booking form. Your ticket, with departure time, will be sent along with your registration pack. Come to Southend Victoria Station 30 mins before departure time on the morning of your ride. Please note that those using the morning transport cannot start the ride before 08.00am

Other Information:-
Minimum age 14 years. Riders under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult rider over 18 and MUST wear a cycle helmet.

In the morning a special train runs from Southend Victoria station to Stratford East station (non-stop) to get you to the start. You need to book this in advance - this can be done at the next stage of the booking process - it costs £10.50 for you and your bike. Tickets are NOT sent in the post - you pick them up from us at the station in the morning.
If you live between Southend and London, there are standard services to Fenchurch St. and Liverpool St.

In the afternoon trains run every half hour back to London Liverpool St. - you'll need to buy your tickets for these on the day at the station.
