  • Club Event (Time Trials)
    An event that is primarily open to members of the organising club only. Club rules apply.
  • Open Events (Time Trials)
    An event open to any rider who is a member of a club that is affiliated to Cycling Time Trials.
  • Cycling Time Trials
    The national governing body for time-trialling. Covering all open events. Whose rules and regulations we all have to follow. (Yearly handbook available @£5.50. From the club secretary, George Moger).
  • British Cycling
    The governing body for road racing (massed start). Track racing and cyclo-cross. Whose rules and regulations we also have to follow when competing in these types of events.
  • 32nd Association
    An association of local clubs that collectively assist each other in organising CLUB events. (Time Trials).
  • E.C.C.A. (Eastern Counties Cycling Association)
    An association of most clubs in the East London/Essex and surrounding areas who organise Time Trials on behalf of affiliated clubs. These events are Open Events.
  • E.C.R.A. (Essex Cycle Racing Association)
    An association of most clubs in the East London/Essex area who organise Road Races on behalf of affiliated clubs.
  • London East District (LE)
    The local area of Cycling Time Trials that is our area. The handbook gives local club and open events and local rules and regulations. It is the most useful handbook for our area. (Available from our club secretary, George Moger £3.00)
  • SPOCO
    Sporting Courses is a body that promotes cycle racing on courses that are predominantly NOT dual carriage-way or ‘drag-strip’ courses. They run their own award scheme to encourage you to ride more ‘friendlier’ courses.
